A gate of Roman origin, rebuilt in 1900, it is notable for its historic architecture and its connection to the ancient Via XX. Ideal for history lovers.
The ancient gate, of Roman origin and featuring some medieval alterations, was demolished in 1899 due to its dilapidated condition. The present gate was built in 1900 by the architect Álvarez de Mendoza, who removed the right-hand side tower. The original gate served as a passageway for Via XX, which linked Lucus with Brigantium.
