Castrexa Corpora Mural

An internationally acclaimed mural depicting a Castrexian warrior next to the Wall of Lugo.
The ‘Copora’ Castrexo Mural is one of Lugo’s great works of urban art and a tribute to Galicia’s pre-Roman roots. Standing some 20 metres tall, it depicts a female warrior from the Castrexo culture and has become a key feature of the city’s mural trail. Created by the Lugo-based artist Manuel Pallín, the work stands out for its high level of detail and its meticulous historical basis, developed with the advice of archaeology specialists and the Provincial Museum of Lugo. It features symbolic elements such as traditional jewellery, weaponry and references to the natural world. Located on the Ronda da Muralla, very close to the Porta Miñá, the mural blends into the urban landscape and engages directly with the Roman Wall. One of the best vantage points for viewing it is from the rampart walk, where it can be appreciated in its full glory.
