Rosalía de Castro Park is one of the city’s most iconic green spaces and a key spot for strolling and relaxing. Created in the 1920s as Lugo’s first major public park, it was designed as an open space for people of all ages to enjoy.
Its original design combined landscaped areas at the top with more natural areas on the hillside, linked by wide paths and architectural features such as stairways, pergolas and a central bandstand. Over the years, the park has evolved to become a landmark of the city’s landscape.
Today it is a place much loved for its historical, natural and symbolic value, as well as offering pleasant views and peaceful spaces that make it one of the most delightful spots in Lugo.
