The Pazo dos Deportes in Lugo is the city’s main sports venue and one of the most important centres for local cultural and sporting life. Opened in 1992, it is primarily dedicated to basketball and hosts numerous events throughout the year.
It is the regular home of Club Baloncesto Breogán and Durán Maquinaria Ensino, teams that have taken the name of Lugo to national and international competitions. In addition to basketball matches, the arena has hosted futsal and padel competitions, concerts and other major events.
The venue features various seating areas and multi-purpose spaces, and has undergone improvements and refurbishments to modernise its facilities and adapt them to current needs. Its elevated location makes it a highly recognisable landmark within the city’s urban landscape.
